Fire Safety: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from children, pets, and flammable materials. Always burn on a heat-safe, fireproof surface. Keep wicks trimmed to 1/4 inch before each use. Do not burn for more than 2 hours at a time. Extinguish completely before leaving the room.

Working with a chime candle does not require elaborate preparation. A clear mind, a quiet moment, and a sincere intention are the most important ingredients. Here is a simple ritual to help you get started.
- Prepare your space. Find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed. Place your candle in a secure chime candle holder on a flat, heat-safe, fireproof surface. Clear any clutter around it to create a sense of openness.
- Set your intention. Before lighting the candle, hold it gently in your hands for a moment. Breathe slowly and bring to mind what you are calling in — focus, confidence, creative inspiration, or clarity of purpose. Speak your intention aloud or hold it quietly in your heart.
- Write it down. On a small piece of paper, write your intention in a few words or a single sentence. Fold the paper and place it beneath your candle holder, or set it nearby. You may also place crystals around the candle that support your intention — citrine, tiger's eye, or clear quartz pair beautifully with yellow candle work.
- Light the candle. As you strike the match, visualise your intention taking root and beginning to grow. Allow yourself to sit with the flame for a few minutes, breathing steadily and letting the warmth of the light reflect the energy you are cultivating within yourself.
- Let it burn safely. Chime candles are designed to burn for approximately 2 hours in a single session. Never leave the candle unattended, and keep it away from children, pets, and any flammable materials. Stay present with your ritual for as long as feels right.
- Close your ritual. When the candle has burned out completely, take a moment to offer gratitude — for the clarity you are inviting, for the practice itself, and for your own willingness to show up with intention. You may keep the folded paper on your altar or release it as feels right to you.
