About us
About Zen Collection
A mother-and-daughter metaphysical store in downtown Barrie, Ontario. Come in to hold a crystal before you choose it, or shop online from anywhere in Canada.
Hi, we're Samantha and Krista.
Zen Collection is a family-run crystal shop and metaphysical store. We started it together in 2019, and in October 2025 we opened our doors at 12 Ross Street in downtown Barrie.
Inside you'll find crystals and gemstones, tarot cards and oracle decks, incense and sage, singing bowls, spiritual books, crystal jewellery and the pillows Krista sews by hand. Online at zencollection.ca you'll find even more than our shelves have room for, with shipping across Canada or pickup in Barrie.
Looking for something specific, like a certain tarot deck? Call us before you visit. We'll check it's on the shelf, pull it from the back, or order it in for you.
If you're new to all of this, you're in the right place. Ask us anything. There's no such thing as a silly question here, and we'd rather help you find the right piece than sell you the wrong one. Curious what other customers say? Read our reviews.
Who you'll meet
The family behind the counter
Co-owner · Online & behind the scenes
Samantha Nayyar
Samantha runs zencollection.ca, our suppliers and everything you don't see. She also makes many of our crystal bracelets and malas.
Co-owner · In store
Krista
Samantha's mom, and most likely the first person you'll meet when you walk in. Krista looks after the shop, packs online orders, and sews most of our handmade eye pillows and meditation cushions.
And our rescue
Leo
Leo comes to work with us, but he stays in the back, which is our private area. He doesn't have access to the storefront, so you won't come into contact with him. You may hear him bark now and then. Meet Leo →
