To use your Sage and Lavender Stick, hold one end and light the tip until it catches a small flame, then gently blow it out so the herbs begin to smolder slowly. Hold the stick over a heat-safe dish or incense burner at all times to catch any falling ash, and make sure the room is well ventilated by opening a window or door before you begin. Move slowly through the space you want to refresh, allowing the smoke to drift into corners, along doorways, and near windows. Never leave the burning stick unattended, and keep it well away from children, pets, curtains, and anything flammable. When you are finished, press the lit end firmly into a heat-safe dish and allow it to cool completely before setting it down or storing it away.
