This ritual is designed to be performed with intention and presence. Find a quiet time when you will not be interrupted, and allow yourself to move slowly through each step. You do not need any prior experience — only a willingness to be honest with yourself and open to the energy you are calling in.
- Prepare your space by tidying the area where you will work. Dim the lights if possible, and remove any clutter that might distract you. Place your chime candle holders on a stable, heat-safe surface and arrange the five candles in front of you.
- Ground yourself before beginning. Sit comfortably, close your eyes, and take three slow, deep breaths. With each exhale, release tension from your body and any mental chatter from your mind. Set a clear intention for this ritual — what do you most need right now? Love, healing, protection, or all three?
- Light the white candle first to purify and open the space. As the flame catches, say aloud or in your heart: "I clear this space and myself of all that does not serve my highest good. I am open to love and light."
- Light the pink candle next, inviting in compassion and gentle love. Speak your affirmation: "I am worthy of love. I give and receive love freely and without fear."
- Light the red candle to call in heart strength and passionate energy. Say: "My heart is strong. I am courageous in love, and I choose to remain open."
- Light the black candle to establish your energetic boundaries and protection. Speak clearly: "I am protected. Only that which serves my highest good may enter my space and my heart."
- Light the purple candle last, connecting yourself to your intuition and spiritual support. Say: "I trust my inner knowing. I am guided, supported, and surrounded by love from seen and unseen sources."
- Sit with the candles for as long as feels right — even five to ten minutes of quiet presence is meaningful. You may journal, meditate, pray, or simply breathe and observe the flames.
- Close the ritual by expressing gratitude. Thank the energies you have called in, and if you choose to extinguish the candles before they burn down fully, use a candle snuffer rather than blowing them out, which is traditionally considered a way of honouring the flame. You may relight the candles during future sessions to continue the work.
