To use your Satya White Sage incense sticks, hold the tip of the stick to a flame and allow it to catch for 10 to 15 seconds until a steady ember forms. Gently blow out the flame and allow the stick to smoulder, releasing its sacred, herbaceous smoke. Rest the stick securely in a heat-safe incense holder or abalone shell positioned on a stable, non-flammable surface. Allow the smoke to drift naturally through your space, or guide it intentionally with your hand or a feather toward areas you wish to clear and refresh. Each stick offers approximately 45 minutes of continuous, aromatic smoke to support your practice.
Safety is an important part of any mindful ritual. Always burn incense in a well-ventilated room to allow fresh air to circulate alongside the smoke. Never leave a burning incense stick unattended, and ensure it is fully extinguished before leaving the room. Keep burning sticks away from children, pets, curtains, paper, and any other flammable materials. When you are ready to extinguish the stick before it has fully burned, gently press the glowing tip into a small dish of sand or soil until the ember is completely out. Practising these simple precautions allows you to focus fully on your ritual with peace of mind.
