Shuffling the deck: Use whichever shuffling method feels comfortable. The overhand shuffle works well for larger decks — simply transfer small groups of cards from one hand to the other repeatedly. You can also cut the deck into a few piles and reassemble them in a different order. There is no single correct method. Shuffle for as long as feels right to you, then draw your card or cards when you feel ready.

Single-card daily draw: Each morning, shuffle the deck while thinking about your day ahead. Draw one card and spend a few minutes looking at the image and reading the guidebook entry. Use it as a simple point of reflection for the day.

Three-card spread: For a broader look at a situation, draw three cards and place them left to right. Assign the first card to the past (what has led to this point), the second to the present (what is currently at play), and the third to the future (where things may be heading or what to consider going forward).

Journaling tip: Keep a dedicated notebook for your pulls. Write down the card name, the date, your question, and any thoughts or impressions that come up — even if they do not immediately make sense. Reviewing past entries over time can reveal useful patterns and personal insights.

Beginner tip: Use the included guidebook as a starting point, but also pay attention to your own reaction to the imagery. Your first instinct when you see a card is worth noting. The guidebook gives you a foundation, but your personal interpretation matters too.
