To begin your Fire Element ritual, select the incense stick that best aligns with your intention for the session — Dragon's Blood when you are stepping into a period of change and need grounding protection, Cinnamon when you want to awaken passion and draw your desires closer, or Sun when you are calling in confidence and personal radiance. Hold the stick at its uncoated end and bring a flame to the tip, allowing it to catch and glow for 10 to 15 seconds before gently blowing out the flame. A steady, glowing ember with a thin ribbon of rising smoke tells you the stick is burning properly. Set your lit incense into a stable, heat-safe holder placed on a fire-resistant surface, and allow the warm, spicy fragrance to begin filling your space.
Safety is a sacred part of any practice, and tending your space with care honours the ritual itself. Always burn incense in a well-ventilated room to allow fresh air to circulate alongside the smoke. Use a proper incense holder that fully supports the stick and catches all falling ash. Never leave burning incense unattended, and always extinguish it fully before leaving the room or going to sleep. Keep lit incense well away from curtains, paper, fabrics, and any other flammable materials, and ensure it remains out of reach of children and pets at all times.
