To begin your eucalyptus ritual, place your incense holder on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from open windows, fans, and any flammable materials such as curtains, paper, or fabric. Hold the tip of your HEM Eucalyptus stick at a slight angle and light it with a match or lighter, allowing the flame to catch for a few seconds until the tip glows a steady ember. Gently blow out the flame and watch as a thread of fragrant smoke begins to rise. Set your stick securely in its holder and let the crisp, herbaceous scent fill your space. If the stick goes out, simply relight it and allow it to settle into a steady smolder once more.
Safety is an important part of any mindful practice. Always burn incense in a well-ventilated room to allow fresh air to circulate alongside the smoke. Never leave a burning incense stick unattended, and ensure it is fully extinguished before leaving the room or going to sleep — resting the lit end in a dish of sand is a simple and effective way to put it out safely. Keep burning incense out of reach of children and pets, and always place your holder on a surface that can withstand heat. A little mindfulness in setup creates a safe and sacred container for your practice.
