Scent Note: Scent is a deeply personal experience — what smells bold and earthy to one person may feel light and sweet to another. Every nose is different, and that is completely normal. Scent intensity and character may also vary slightly between batches due to the handcrafted nature of these incense products. If you have ordered multiple scents, we recommend storing and airing each box in a separate area, as aromas can mingle during shipping.
To begin your ritual with Satya Patchouli Incense, hold the stick by its uncoated bamboo end and bring a flame to the tip, allowing it to catch and burn for 10 to 15 seconds. Once the tip glows a steady amber, gently blow out the flame and watch as a thread of fragrant smoke begins to rise. Place the stick securely in a heat-safe incense holder set on a stable, non-flammable surface, and let the rich, earthy scent of patchouli slowly fill your space for approximately 45 minutes. Always burn incense in a well-ventilated room to keep the air fresh and the experience comfortable.
Your safety and peace of mind are part of the ritual. Never leave burning incense unattended, and ensure it is fully extinguished before leaving the room or going to sleep. Keep lit sticks well away from curtains, paper, fabrics, and any other flammable materials. Place your holder out of reach of children and pets, and always burn on a surface that can safely catch any falling ash. A dedicated incense tray or ceramic dish beneath your holder is a simple and mindful way to protect your space.
Patchouli has long been revered as a deeply grounding and centering fragrance, making it a beautiful companion for intentional ritual work. Before lighting your stick, take a moment to set a clear intention — whether you are seeking stillness, emotional balance, or a deeper connection to the present moment. Settle into a comfortable seated position, close your eyes, and let the warm, spicy-sweet aroma anchor your awareness to the earth beneath you. Patchouli resonates beautifully with the Root Chakra, so visualize a steady, glowing red light at the base of your spine as you breathe slowly and deeply. This is your time to come home to yourself.
