Scent Note: Scent is a deeply personal experience — what smells bold and earthy to one person may feel light and sweet to another. Every nose is different, and that is completely normal. Scent intensity and character may also vary slightly between batches due to the handcrafted nature of these incense products. If you have ordered multiple scents, we recommend storing and airing each box in a separate area, as aromas can mingle during shipping.
To begin your ritual with HEM Sandal Vanilla Incense Cones, place a single cone upright in a heat-safe incense holder designed specifically for cones, ensuring it rests on a stable, level surface. Light the very tip of the cone with a match or lighter until a small flame appears and the tip begins to glow, then gently blow out the flame. The cone will begin to smolder and release its warm, woody-sweet fragrance. Allow the smoke to rise freely and fill your space, letting the comforting blend of sandalwood and vanilla envelop the room over its 20–25 minute burn time.
Safety is an important part of any mindful practice. Always burn incense in a well-ventilated room to allow fresh air to circulate alongside the fragrant smoke. Use only a proper, heat-resistant cone incense holder to catch ash safely, and place it on a surface away from curtains, paper, fabrics, and any other flammable materials. Never leave a burning cone unattended, and always ensure the cone is fully extinguished before leaving the room. Keep incense out of reach of children and pets, and if you need to extinguish the cone early, gently press it into a small dish of sand.
To deepen the spiritual experience, take a few slow, grounding breaths before lighting your cone and set a clear intention for your session — whether that is inviting emotional healing, opening your Sacral Chakra, or cultivating a sense of peace and inner stillness. You might hold your hands over your heart and whisper your intention aloud, then allow the rising smoke to carry it into the space around you. This blend is beautifully suited for meditation, journaling, or quiet reflection, and its warm energy makes it a wonderful companion for rituals centered on self-love, creative expression, or deepening your connection to your spiritual path.
