The Element Encyclopedia of 5000 Spells by Judika Illes is a sweeping and richly detailed journey through the world's magical traditions, gathering thousands of spells, rituals, herbal correspondences, planetary timings, and historical lore into a single remarkable volume. From ancient folk magic to ceremonial practice, from love and abundance workings to protection and healing rites, this encyclopedia maps the vast landscape of spellcraft with both scholarly depth and practical warmth. Each entry opens a doorway into a living tradition, inviting readers to explore the symbolic language of magic — its tools, its rhythms, and its enduring human roots — in a way that feels both accessible and genuinely transformative.
This book is a natural home for beginners who are ready to move beyond surface-level introductions and build a real foundation in magical practice, as well as for experienced witches and spiritual seekers who want a comprehensive reference to consult, revisit, and grow with over time. Students of tarot, astrology, herbalism, and crystal work will find that its extensive cross-references enrich and expand their existing practice, while those compiling a personal grimoire or leading a study circle will treasure its breadth as an ever-reliable source of inspiration and instruction. It speaks equally to the curious newcomer and the dedicated practitioner.
Walking away from time spent with this encyclopedia, readers gain far more than a collection of spells — they develop a deeper magical literacy, an understanding of how intention, timing, and correspondence work together, and the confidence to craft rituals that feel personally meaningful and energetically aligned. It is the kind of book that becomes a true companion on the spiritual path, dog-eared and annotated, returning again and again to offer exactly what is needed in each new season of practice.

Shipping: Some products require additional processing time because they may be handmade or individually prepared, sourced through one of our suppliers or distributors, or otherwise require additional preparation before dispatch.
This can include, but is not limited to, tarot and oracle decks, books, select singing bowls and other sound-healing instruments, handmade bracelets and malas, and other supplier-sourced or individually prepared products.
Supplier-sourced products may be fulfilled from Zen Collection's available inventory or sourced through one of our suppliers or distributors after your order is placed. When a supplier-sourced item is not physically on hand, please allow approximately 3–15 business days before dispatch, excluding weekends and holidays. This is an estimate only and is not a guaranteed dispatch or delivery timeframe.
Handmade bracelets, malas, and other handmade or individually prepared products may also require additional processing time for making, assembling, sizing, restringing, finishing, or other preparation before they are ready to dispatch.
Website availability or an “In Stock” status may include inventory available through our supplier or distributor network and does not necessarily mean the item is physically on hand at our Barrie store or ready for immediate dispatch.
Supplier inventory and lead times can change without notice. Products may occasionally become temporarily unavailable, backordered, allocated, delayed, discontinued, reprinted, revised, repackaged, or otherwise affected by supplier-side changes.
During holidays, promotional periods, high-volume sales events, supplier delays, or other periods of increased demand, sourcing, handmade preparation, order processing, and dispatch may take longer than the usual estimates.
Carrier transit time is additional and begins only after your order has been dispatched. Carrier delivery estimates are also not guaranteed by Zen Collection.
If your purchase is a gift, needed for a specific date, or otherwise time-sensitive, please contact Zen Collection before placing your order. We strongly recommend ordering well in advance rather than waiting until the last minute.
Zen Collection cannot guarantee arrival by a specific date and does not accept rush-order requests or guarantee priority sourcing, making, preparation, or processing.
