To use your Sage and Rose Torch, hold it at a slight downward angle and light the tip with a candle or lighter, allowing it to catch for a few seconds before gently blowing out the flame so it begins to smolder. Place it in a fire-safe bowl or abalone shell on a heat-safe surface, and never leave it burning unattended. Use it in a well-ventilated space — open a window or door so the smoke has somewhere to go and stale or heavy energy has a clear path out. Keep it well away from curtains, paper, and anything flammable, and make sure children and pets are out of the area while it is burning.
Once it is smoldering steadily, carry it through the rooms or areas you want to reset, moving in a calm, intentional way. Let the smoke drift into corners, along doorways, and around windows — these are the spots where energy tends to collect and stagnate. If you are focusing on a particular area, like your bedroom after a difficult week or your living room after conflict, spend a little extra time there. Fan the smoke gently with your hand or a feather if needed, and keep the bowl underneath to catch any falling embers or ash. When you are finished, press the lit end firmly into sand or soil inside your bowl to fully extinguish it, and let everything cool completely before setting it aside or storing it.
