Resin Burning Note: Resin incense requires a charcoal disk to burn. The charcoal disk and resin burner get extremely hot during use — always handle with care and place on a heat-safe surface.

To use Swift Charcoal Disks, hold the disk with a pair of tongs and carefully light the edge with a lighter or match until it begins to spark and glow across the surface. Place it in a heat-safe burner, such as a brass or ceramic incense holder filled with a layer of sand, and allow it to fully ash over before adding your resin, loose herbs, or botanical blend on top. The disk gets extremely hot, so always use tongs when handling and set it only on a surface specifically designed to withstand high heat. Never leave a burning disk unattended, and keep it well out of reach of children and pets.
Good ventilation is important whenever you are working with charcoal disks. Open a window or door to allow fresh air to circulate through the room, both for safety and to help the smoke carry away any stagnant or heavy energy as it rises. Avoid using these disks in very small, enclosed spaces, and keep them away from curtains, paper, or anything flammable nearby. Once your session is complete, allow the disk to cool fully in the burner before disposing of it — never place a hot disk directly into a waste bin.
