To begin your ritual practice with this kit, find a quiet space where you can work undisturbed. Place your abalone shell on a flat, heat-safe surface — it will serve as your fireproof holder throughout the ritual. Light the tip of your sage stick or palo santo using a candle or lighter, allow it to catch a small flame, then gently blow it out so it begins to smolder. Use the feather to direct the smoke around your body, starting at your feet and moving upward, with the intention of releasing any heavy or stagnant energy from your aura. Then slowly move through each room of your home, paying particular attention to corners, doorways, and windows as you work to shift the energy and reset the space.
Safety is an important part of any ritual practice. Always ensure your space is well-ventilated by opening a window or door before you begin — this also allows any displaced energy to move out of the space. Rest your sage or palo santo in the abalone shell whenever you set it down, and never leave burning materials unattended. Keep this kit out of reach of children and pets, and make sure there are no flammable materials nearby. When you are finished, press the lit end of your sage or palo santo firmly against the inside of the shell to fully extinguish it before storing.
