Part of the family

Meet Leo

Leo is our rescue. He's been through training and he's still working on it, and he comes to work with us at our Barrie store.

His story so far

We rescued Leo in April 2024, when he was nine months old. In August 2026 he completed a 30-day board-and-train program, and he keeps practising what he learned every day at the store. He's making wonderful progress.

He still has some big feelings to work through, and we're helping him through them.

Visiting the store

What to know before you visit

  1. Leo stays in the back. The back of the store is our private area. Leo doesn't roam the store and doesn't have access to the storefront.
  2. You won't come into contact with him.Customers never have physical access to Leo, so if big dogs make you nervous, you can shop comfortably.
  3. You may hear him.If something startles him, he may bark or growl from the back. It comes from fear, and we'll settle him.
