Our story · Since 2019
It was meant to be.
Zen Collection is a family-run crystal and metaphysical store in Barrie, Ontario, sending crystals, tarot cards and spiritual tools to homes across Canada. This is how a mother and daughter followed a feeling and built it together.
People always ask how Zen Collection started, and our answer is always the same: it was just meant to be. It had never crossed our minds, and we weren't looking for it. We listened to our intuition and went with it, without questioning or doubting, and we've been guided down this path ever since. We were meant to be doing this, for the greater good.

How we got here
The story so far
-
2019
A yes, before a plan
Samantha and her mom, Krista, started Zen Collection together. There was no business plan and no five-year forecast, just a pull toward this work and two people willing to trust it.
-
By hand
Thirty years at the sewing machine
Krista brought more than 30 years of sewing with her. She sews most of the weighted eye pillows, neck wraps and meditation pillows you'll find in our handmade collection.

October 2025
A door on Ross Street
We opened our crystal store in Barrie at 12 Ross Street, downtown. Now you can hold a stone before you choose it, look through tarot decks in person, and talk with the family who runs it.
-
For shops
Akasha Wholesale
After the store opened, we started Akasha Wholesale together, our sister company, so shops, studios and practitioners across Canada can stock crystals, incense, sage and tarot and oracle decks. Learn about wholesale crystals in Canada.

Today
In store and online
The shop is open every day from 11 am to 5 pm, and zencollection.ca ships across Canada. Leo, our rescue, keeps us company in the back and keeps practising his manners.

Come as you are.
Buying your first crystal or your fiftieth tarot deck. Celebrating, grieving, starting over, or simply curious. You're welcome here, and no question is too small. We would much rather help you find the right piece than sell you the wrong one.
