Scent Note: Scent is a deeply personal experience — what smells bold and earthy to one person may feel light and sweet to another. Every nose is different, and that is completely normal. Scent intensity and character may also vary slightly between batches due to the handcrafted nature of these incense products. If you have ordered multiple scents, we recommend storing and airing each box in a separate area, as aromas can mingle during shipping.
To begin your ritual with HEM Red Rose Incense Cones, place one cone upright in a heat-safe incense holder set on a stable, flat surface. Using a lighter or match, carefully ignite the very tip of the cone and allow it to catch a flame for approximately 10 to 15 seconds until you see a small, glowing ember form. Gently blow out the flame and watch as the cone begins to smoulder, releasing its rich, romantic fragrance in soft, curling wisps of smoke. There is no need to rush this process — allow yourself to slow down and become present as the warm, floral scent begins to fill your space.
As with all forms of burning incense, safety is an important part of your practice. Always burn incense cones in a well-ventilated room to allow fresh air to circulate alongside the fragrant smoke. Use only a proper, heat-safe cone holder to catch the ash, and place it on a surface away from curtains, fabrics, paper, or any other flammable materials. Never leave burning incense unattended, and always ensure it is fully extinguished before leaving the room or going to sleep. Keep incense and holders out of reach of children and pets, and avoid burning near anyone with respiratory sensitivities.
Red rose incense is a beautiful companion for rituals centred around love, emotional healing, and heart-opening intention. Before lighting your cone, take a moment to set a clear and heartfelt intention — whether you are calling in romantic connection, nurturing self-love, or gently releasing old heartache. Place your hands over your heart chakra, breathe deeply, and speak or silently affirm your intention as the smoke begins to rise. This incense pairs beautifully with rose quartz crystals, pink or red candles, and journaling practices focused on worthiness and emotional abundance. Whether used during an evening meditation, a self-care ritual, or simply to shift the energy in your home, let the scent of red rose remind you that love begins from within.
