Hold the charcoal disk with tongs and light the edge with a lighter or match, allowing it to fully ignite and turn grey before placing it in your censer — this usually takes about 30 to 60 seconds. Once the disk is glowing, use tongs or a small spoon to place one to three small resin nuggets directly onto the surface. The charcoal gets extremely hot, so always set your censer on a heat-safe surface, never handle the disk or censer with bare hands, and keep the burning resin well away from children, pets, and any flammable materials.
