Three-Card Spread: For a broader look at a situation, lay three cards face down in a row. The first card represents the past and what has led to your current circumstances. The second card represents the present and what is most relevant right now. The third card represents the future and the direction things are heading or what to consider moving forward. Flip each card one at a time and read them in order.

Journaling Tip: Keep a notebook dedicated to your card pulls. Write down the date, the card or cards you drew, the guidebook message, and any personal thoughts or impressions that came up. Reviewing past entries over time can reveal patterns and progress you might otherwise miss.

Beginner Tip: Use the guidebook as a starting point, but also pay attention to your first instinct when you see a card. Your personal reaction and what the imagery brings to mind for you is just as valuable as the printed interpretation. There is no single correct way to read a card.
