To use your Blue Sage Bundle, begin by opening a window or door to allow fresh air to circulate — good ventilation helps move stagnant energy out of the space and keeps the air comfortable while your sage is burning. Place a fire-safe, heat-resistant dish such as an abalone shell, ceramic bowl, or clay dish beneath the bundle to catch any falling ash. Light the tip of the bundle at a slight angle, allow it to catch a small flame, then gently blow it out so the sage begins to smoulder and release its smoke. Keep children and pets out of the room while burning, and never leave the bundle unattended. When you are finished, press the lit end firmly into your heat-safe dish to extinguish it fully, and allow it to cool completely before storing or relighting.
Once your bundle is smouldering, slowly move through your space — room by room if you like — allowing the smoke to drift into corners, along walls, and around doorways where energy tends to settle. You can also hold the bundle near your body, moving it gently around your aura from your feet upward, to help refresh your personal energy field after a stressful day or difficult interaction. Keep the dish underneath the bundle at all times to catch any embers, and stay mindful of curtains, paper, or any flammable materials nearby.
