To use your Chakra Metal Smudge Pot, begin by placing it on a stable, heat-safe surface. For loose resin incense, place a self-lighting charcoal disc inside the bowl, light it carefully using tongs, and allow it to fully ignite before adding a small amount of resin on top — a little goes a long way. For incense cones, simply nestle the cone upright in the bowl and light the tip, allowing it to catch before gently blowing out the flame so it smolders slowly. Sage bundles and palo santo can be held over or rested gently in the bowl while burning, letting the ash fall safely inside. Always allow the bowl to cool completely before handling or storing.
Safety is an essential part of any mindful ritual. Always burn incense in a well-ventilated room, opening a window or door to allow fresh air to circulate and smoke to flow freely. Never leave burning incense unattended, and keep your smudge pot well away from curtains, paper, fabric, and any other flammable materials. The metal bowl will become hot during use, so always handle with care and place it on a protective surface. Please keep burning incense out of reach of children and pets at all times.
