Foundations of Witchcraft takes readers on a carefully structured journey through the core pillars of traditional witchcraft, weaving together ritual technique, spellcraft, energetic boundary work, and introductory spiritwork into a cohesive and accessible curriculum. Drawing on over two decades of lived practice, authors Irene Glasse and Caine Dreamwalker guide readers through the essential building blocks of magical life — from creating sacred container work and developing consistent ritual habits to approaching the unseen world with discernment, balance, and respect. The book moves thoughtfully from foundational concepts into deeper territory, making it feel less like a static reference and more like a living course of study that unfolds naturally with each chapter.
This book is ideal for new witches who are searching for a clear, curriculum-style path into practice, as well as solitary practitioners who want structured lessons they can follow at their own pace. It is equally welcoming for intermediate practitioners who feel called to revisit and strengthen their foundations, or for anyone drawn to a style of witchcraft that honours both personal gnosis and disciplined study. If you have felt the pull toward magical practice but weren't sure where to begin — or if you've been practising for a while and want a more grounded framework to build upon — this book meets you exactly where you are.
By the time readers reach the final pages, they will carry with them a genuine set of practical skills: the ability to hold focused ritual space, engage meaningfully with journeywork, refine their magical ethics, and cultivate an embodied, reciprocal relationship with the spirit world. Beyond technique, Foundations of Witchcraft supports real inner transformation — expanding intuition, deepening self-awareness, and empowering the kind of consistent, intentional practice that grows more meaningful over time. It is the sort of book you return to again and again, finding something new in its pages each time your practice evolves.

Shipping: Some products require additional processing time because they may be handmade or individually prepared, sourced through one of our suppliers or distributors, or otherwise require additional preparation before dispatch.
This can include, but is not limited to, tarot and oracle decks, books, select singing bowls and other sound-healing instruments, handmade bracelets and malas, and other supplier-sourced or individually prepared products.
Supplier-sourced products may be fulfilled from Zen Collection's available inventory or sourced through one of our suppliers or distributors after your order is placed. When a supplier-sourced item is not physically on hand, please allow approximately 3–15 business days before dispatch, excluding weekends and holidays. This is an estimate only and is not a guaranteed dispatch or delivery timeframe.
Handmade bracelets, malas, and other handmade or individually prepared products may also require additional processing time for making, assembling, sizing, restringing, finishing, or other preparation before they are ready to dispatch.
Website availability or an “In Stock” status may include inventory available through our supplier or distributor network and does not necessarily mean the item is physically on hand at our Barrie store or ready for immediate dispatch.
Supplier inventory and lead times can change without notice. Products may occasionally become temporarily unavailable, backordered, allocated, delayed, discontinued, reprinted, revised, repackaged, or otherwise affected by supplier-side changes.
During holidays, promotional periods, high-volume sales events, supplier delays, or other periods of increased demand, sourcing, handmade preparation, order processing, and dispatch may take longer than the usual estimates.
Carrier transit time is additional and begins only after your order has been dispatched. Carrier delivery estimates are also not guaranteed by Zen Collection.
If your purchase is a gift, needed for a specific date, or otherwise time-sensitive, please contact Zen Collection before placing your order. We strongly recommend ordering well in advance rather than waiting until the last minute.
