Scent Note: Scent is a deeply personal experience — what smells bold and earthy to one person may feel light and sweet to another. Every nose is different, and that is completely normal. Scent intensity and character may also vary slightly between batches due to the handcrafted nature of these incense products. If you have ordered multiple scents, we recommend storing and airing each box in a separate area, as aromas can mingle during shipping.
To use your HEM The Moon Incense Cones, begin by placing a cone securely in a heat-safe cone burner or incense holder on a flat, stable surface. Using a lighter or match, carefully ignite the very tip of the cone and allow it to catch a small flame. Once the tip glows a soft amber and a gentle wisp of smoke begins to rise, blow the flame out softly so the cone can smolder and release its beautiful celestial fragrance. The cone will burn steadily on its own, filling your space with its soft floral and musky lunar scent for approximately 20 to 25 minutes. There is no need to tend to it once it is properly lit — simply let the smoke drift and the energy flow naturally.
As with all burning incense, a few simple safety practices will help keep your space peaceful and protected. Always burn incense in a well-ventilated room to allow fresh air to circulate alongside the fragrant smoke. Use only a proper heat-safe holder designed for incense cones to catch ash and prevent heat from reaching the surface below. Never leave burning incense unattended, and be sure to keep it well out of reach of children and pets. Place your burner away from curtains, paper, fabrics, and any other flammable materials, and always ensure the cone has fully extinguished before leaving the room.
These lunar-inspired cones are a beautiful companion for intention-setting rituals, especially during the new or full moon when the moon's energy is at its most potent. Before lighting your cone, take a quiet moment to ground yourself, close your eyes, and hold your intention gently in your heart — whether that is clarity, emotional healing, or a deeper connection to your intuition. The rising smoke is a sacred offering, carrying your prayers and intentions upward as it works to open and activate your Third Eye and Crown chakras. You may also use these cones to create a sacred atmosphere before meditation, journaling, oracle card readings, or dreamwork practices. Allow the soft, celestial aroma to be your signal to the universe that you are present, open, and ready to receive lunar wisdom.
