Scent Note: Scent is a deeply personal experience — what smells bold and earthy to one person may feel light and sweet to another. Every nose is different, and that is completely normal. Scent intensity and character may also vary slightly between batches due to the handcrafted nature of these incense products. If you have ordered multiple scents, we recommend storing and airing each box in a separate area, as aromas can mingle during shipping.
To use your HEM White Sage Incense Cones, begin by placing a cone upright in a heat-safe incense holder designed for cones — one that can catch any falling ash. Hold a flame to the tip of the cone for 10 to 15 seconds until it catches, then gently blow out the flame. The tip should glow softly and begin releasing a steady stream of fragrant white sage smoke. Allow the cone to rest in its holder and let the sacred smoke drift naturally through your space, or carry it mindfully from room to room, guiding the smoke into corners, doorways, and areas where energy feels heavy or stagnant.
Please burn your incense safely and mindfully. Always use in a well-ventilated area to allow fresh air to circulate alongside the cleansing smoke. Place your holder on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from curtains, fabrics, and any flammable materials. Never leave a burning cone unattended, and keep incense out of reach of children and pets at all times. Allow the cone to burn fully in its holder, or extinguish it by pressing the tip gently into sand or ash — never use water, as this can damage your holder.
White sage has long been honoured as one of the most powerful plants for spiritual purification and energetic renewal. Before lighting your cone, take a quiet moment to centre yourself and set a clear intention — whether that is releasing what no longer serves you, inviting protection into your home, or creating a focused space for meditation and prayer. Breathe slowly as the smoke rises, visualising stagnant or negative energy dissolving and being replaced with clarity, peace, and light. This ritual is a beautiful complement to meditation practice, chakra work, journaling, or simply beginning or closing your day with mindful presence and spiritual awareness.
