To use your Organic White Sage and Rosemary bundle, begin by choosing a well-ventilated room — open a window or door to allow fresh air to circulate and give the smoke a clear path out of your space. Hold the bundle at one end and carefully light the opposite tip with a match or lighter, allowing the flame to catch for a few seconds before gently blowing it out. The bundle should begin to smolder and release a steady, fragrant smoke. Keep a heat-safe dish, ceramic bowl, or abalone shell close at hand to catch any falling ash throughout the process, and never set a lit or smoldering bundle down on any surface that isn't fully heat-safe. Always stay present while the bundle is burning — never leave it unattended — and keep it well away from children, pets, curtains, and anything flammable.
Once your bundle is smoldering, move slowly and intentionally through your space, guiding the smoke into corners, along doorways and windowsills, and into any areas that feel heavy or stagnant. Corners tend to hold lingering energy, so give them a little extra attention. Use your hand, a feather, or a folded card to gently direct the smoke where you want it to go. When you feel the space has been refreshed and the energy has shifted, rest the bundle in your heat-safe holder and allow it to extinguish on its own, or gently press the lit end into sand or soil to put it out safely. Avoid using water to extinguish the bundle, as this can damage it for future use.
