To use your Summit Backflow Burner, begin by placing it on a stable, heat-safe surface that is completely level — this is important for achieving that beautiful cascading smoke effect. Keep it away from open windows, fans, vents, and air conditioning, as even gentle drafts can disrupt the downward flow of smoke. Once your burner is settled in its spot, insert one backflow cone into the top opening with the pointed end facing down into the channel. Light the very tip of the cone and let it catch for about 10 to 15 seconds, then gently blow out the flame. Within moments, you will begin to see the fragrant smoke drift downward through the burner, pooling softly at the base in a serene, waterfall-like display. Always keep burning incense within sight and never leave it unattended near children, pets, or flammable materials.
Caring for your Summit Backflow Burner is simple and helps preserve its glossy finish and beautiful appearance over time. After each use, allow the burner to cool completely before handling, then use a soft dry cloth or a small brush to gently sweep away any ash that has collected in the pool or along the channels. For a deeper clean, a slightly damp cloth works well on the ceramic surface — just avoid soaking the piece in water or using harsh chemical cleaners, as these can dull the glaze and damage the finish. Avoid scrubbing the surface with anything abrasive. Store your burner in a safe spot where it won't be knocked over, and keep it dust-free between uses by covering it lightly with a cloth. With a little gentle attention, this piece will remain a grounding and beautiful part of your sacred space for years to come.

Returns: Most unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 14 days of delivery, or of purchase in our Barrie store. Return shipping is paid by the customer.
