Some days carry a weight that is hard to name — a restlessness, a lingering heaviness, or the sense that something unwanted has overstayed its welcome in your life. Clearing that energy and reclaiming your space requires intention, and intention deserves a focal point. The black chime candle is that anchor, a small but powerful tool for banishing what no longer serves you and creating the stillness needed to begin again.

Fire Safety: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from children, pets, and flammable materials. Always burn on a heat-safe, fireproof surface. Keep wicks trimmed to 1/4 inch before each use. Do not burn for more than 2 hours at a time. Extinguish completely before leaving the room.

Working with a chime candle does not require elaborate preparation. What matters most is your presence, your clarity of purpose, and a safe, dedicated space in which to work. The following steps offer a simple and meaningful way to bring the black chime candle into your practice.
- Prepare your space. Choose a flat, stable surface that is heat-safe and fireproof. Clear the area of clutter and, if it feels right, cleanse the space with sound, smoke, or simply your intention. Place your candle securely in a chime candle holder before lighting.
- Set your intention. Hold the unlit candle in your hands for a moment. Breathe slowly and bring to mind what you wish to release, banish, or protect yourself from. Speak your intention aloud or hold it clearly in your mind. You may also write it on a small piece of paper to place beneath the candle holder.
- Anoint or dress the candle if desired. Some practitioners lightly dress their candle with a corresponding oil, such as frankincense or black pepper oil for protection, working from the centre outward to push energy away. This step is entirely optional.
- Place supporting tools nearby. If you work with crystals, consider placing black tourmaline, obsidian, or smoky quartz near the candle to amplify the energy of protection and release. A small bowl of salt can also be placed nearby as an additional symbol of purification.
- Light the candle with intention. As the flame catches, visualize the energy you are releasing being drawn into the flame and transformed. Sit quietly for as long as feels right, breathing and allowing the ritual to unfold.
- When the candle burns out. Chime candles are designed to burn fully in approximately two hours. When the flame extinguishes naturally, take a moment to express gratitude for the work completed. If you wrote your intention on paper, you may safely burn it in a fireproof dish or fold it and bury it outside as a symbol of release. Never leave the candle unattended while burning, and ensure the flame is fully out before leaving the space.

Returns: Most unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 14 days of delivery, or of purchase in our Barrie store. Return shipping is paid by the customer. Clearance items, gift cards, digital products, custom or made-to-size items and opened consumables can't be returned.
