This ritual is designed to help you cleanse absorbed energy, restore your boundaries, and reconnect with your own emotional truth. Move through it slowly and without rush, allowing each candle to do its quiet work.
- Choose a time when you will not be interrupted. Dim the lights if possible, and clear your space physically before you begin — tidy the surface you will work on and remove anything that feels cluttered or heavy.
- If you have a bell, singing bowl, or simply your own breath, use it to open the space. Three slow, conscious exhales work beautifully — breathe out what you have been carrying, and breathe in the intention of returning to yourself.
- Set your candles in a loose arc or circle in front of you. Place the white candle at the centre. Arrange the silver or grey candle to its left, the light blue candle to its right, and the lavender and pale pink candles at the outer edges.
- Light the white candle first. As the flame catches, say aloud or in your heart: I release what is not mine. I am cleansed, I am clear, I am protected in my own light.
- Light the silver or grey candle next. Pause and reflect: what emotions have you been carrying that originated outside of you? You do not need to name them all — simply acknowledge that they are welcome to leave. Breathe.
- Light the light blue candle and speak: I trust my own voice. I communicate my needs with kindness and honesty. My sensitivity is a gift, not a burden.
- Light the lavender candle and allow yourself to sit quietly for a moment. Let your intuition surface without judgment. If thoughts or feelings arise, observe them gently — you do not need to act on them now.
- Light the pale pink candle last. Place one hand over your heart and say: I am worthy of the same compassion I give. I come home to myself now.
- Sit with the candles for as long as feels right — five minutes or twenty. You may journal, meditate, or simply rest in the warmth of the flames.
- To close, take three more slow breaths and express gratitude — to yourself, to the practice, or to whatever spiritual presence feels meaningful to you. Allow the candles to burn down safely, or extinguish them with intention and relight in a future session.
