This ritual is best performed in a quiet space where you will not be interrupted. There is no need for elaborate preparation — what matters most is your presence and your willingness to allow the healing to begin. Work through the candles across a single session or spread them over several days, returning to the ritual as often as feels right.
- Clear your space by tidying the area where you will work. Open a window briefly if possible, or use sound — a singing bowl, a bell, or simply three slow, intentional claps — to shift the energy in the room.
- Sit comfortably in front of your candle holders. Take several deep breaths and allow your body to settle. Place one hand over your heart and simply notice what you feel there without judgment.
- Light the white candle first, saying aloud or in your mind: "I release what no longer serves my heart. I make space for healing and for light."
- Light the pink candle next, saying: "I offer myself compassion. I am worthy of gentleness, patience, and love."
- Light the green candle, saying: "My heart is resilient. I am open to growth, renewal, and the quiet return of joy."
- Light the rose red candle last, saying: "I am alive. I am present. I choose to feel, to live, and to love again — beginning with myself."
- Sit with the candles for as long as you wish. You may journal, meditate, listen to soft music, or simply rest in the warmth of the flames. There is nothing you need to do except be here.
- When you are ready to close, press your palms together at your heart, bow your head gently, and offer a quiet word of gratitude — to yourself, to the process, or to whatever holds meaning for you. Allow the candles to burn down safely, or extinguish them with a snuffer and return to the ritual another time.
