Hold the tip of the stick at a 45-degree angle to a flame — a lighter or candle both work beautifully — and allow the tip to catch and glow for a few seconds. Gently blow out the flame and rest the stick securely in a heat-safe incense holder or ash catcher, ensuring it is stable and upright before you step away. As the smoke begins to rise, take a slow breath and allow the warm, resinous fragrance to signal to your mind and body that sacred space is being created around you.
Please always burn incense with care and mindfulness. Use your Dragon Blood sticks in a well-ventilated room, keeping a window or door slightly open to allow air to circulate and smoke to move freely. Always place your burning stick in a proper incense holder designed to catch ash safely, and never leave burning incense unattended. Keep lit incense well out of reach of children and pets, and ensure it is positioned away from curtains, paper, candles, or any other flammable materials. When you are ready to extinguish the stick before it has fully burned, press the glowing tip gently against a heat-safe surface until the ember is fully out.
