Scent Note: Scent is a deeply personal experience — what smells bold and earthy to one person may feel light and sweet to another. Every nose is different, and that is completely normal. Scent intensity and character may also vary slightly between batches due to the handcrafted nature of these incense products. If you have ordered multiple scents, we recommend storing and airing each box in a separate area, as aromas can mingle during shipping.
To use Hem Opium Incense, place your stick securely in a heat-safe incense holder set on a stable, level surface. Hold the tip of the stick to a flame and allow it to catch for 10 to 15 seconds, then gently blow out the flame so the tip glows softly and begins releasing its warm, resinous smoke. Allow the smoke to drift naturally through your space, carrying your intentions with it. If you need to extinguish the stick before it burns completely, simply press the glowing tip into a small dish of sand or water. Never break or force a burning stick, as this can cause embers to fall.
Safety is an important part of any mindful practice. Always burn incense in a well-ventilated room to keep the air comfortable and fresh during longer sessions. Use only a proper, stable incense holder designed to catch all falling ash, and place it away from curtains, paper, fabric, and any other flammable materials. Never leave burning incense unattended, and keep it well out of reach of children and pets. Be mindful of those with sensitivities to smoke, and open a window if needed to maintain a gentle airflow through your space.
Hem Opium Incense is a beautiful companion for meditation, intention setting, and creating a sacred atmosphere in your home. Before lighting your stick, take a quiet moment to hold your intention in your mind — whether you are seeking emotional grounding, inner stillness, or a deeper connection during ritual work. As the smoke rises, visualize it gently harmonizing the energy of your space and anchoring your awareness to the present moment. This incense is especially resonant during root and sacral chakra work, making it a meaningful addition to grounding practices, journaling rituals, or simply unwinding at the close of a long day.
