Working with a chime candle is a grounding and intentional practice. Before you begin, choose a quiet space where you can sit undisturbed for the duration of the burn. Here is a simple ritual to help you connect with the energy of your light blue candle.
- Prepare your space. Clear a small area on a stable, heat-safe surface. Place your candle in a secure chime candle holder. If you have crystals that support clarity or communication, such as blue lace agate, aquamarine, or sodalite, arrange them nearby to amplify your intention.
- Set your intention. Before lighting the candle, hold it in your hands for a moment. Breathe slowly and bring to mind what you are calling in. Speak your intention aloud or whisper it quietly. Be specific and speak in the present tense, as though what you are asking for is already unfolding.
- Write it down. On a small piece of paper, write your intention in one clear sentence. Fold the paper toward you and place it beneath the candle holder to keep your focus grounded throughout the ritual.
- Light the candle. As the flame catches, visualize your intention taking shape. Sit with it for a few minutes in quiet reflection or meditation. You do not need to watch the candle the entire time, but remain nearby and never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Close your ritual. When the candle has burned out completely, take a moment to express gratitude, whether to the universe, your guides, or simply yourself for taking the time to be intentional. You may keep the written intention in a journal, bury it in the earth, or release it by burning it safely in a fireproof dish.
- Tend to safety throughout. Keep the area clear of any flammable materials, ensure pets and children cannot access the space, and always burn your candle on a fireproof surface. Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each use to maintain a clean, steady flame.
