On Pins and Needles
Discover the art of magical figures. On Pins and Needles is a hands-on guide to crafting, empowering, and deploying poppets for real results. This book is rooted in tradition, enriched by personal practice, and designed to empower any witch’s craft.
On Pins and Needles is a practical, grounded guide to the powerful magic of poppets and dolls. Blending deep traditional roots with insights from years of personal work, Kamden Cornell offers a thorough exploration of the creation, empowerment, and use of magical figures across a wide range of practices.
Inside the book, you’ll find overviews of materia, construction methods, activation techniques, and deployment strategies—everything needed to bring these magical constructs to life with purpose and precision. The author shares not only time-tested practices but also original charms and workings, many of which appear here for the first time, providing readers with fresh tools to add to their craft.
Whether you are new to doll magic or seeking to deepen an existing practice, On Pins and Needles serves as both a complete workbook and an inspiring source of ideas. Each page invites you to view effigies and simulacra not simply as vessels of intent but as living participants in your magical work.
Rooted in traditional frameworks while offering a contemporary, flexible approach, this book supports practitioners across different paths, including witchcraft, folk magic, ceremonial practice, and beyond. Through careful instruction and practical wisdom, it opens the door to a richer, more dynamic relationship with the figures you create and the forces you call upon.

Shipping: Some products require additional processing time because they may be handmade or individually prepared, sourced through one of our suppliers or distributors, or otherwise require additional preparation before dispatch.
This can include, but is not limited to, tarot and oracle decks, books, select singing bowls and other sound-healing instruments, handmade bracelets and malas, and other supplier-sourced or individually prepared products.
Supplier-sourced products may be fulfilled from Zen Collection's available inventory or sourced through one of our suppliers or distributors after your order is placed. When a supplier-sourced item is not physically on hand, please allow approximately 3–15 business days before dispatch, excluding weekends and holidays. This is an estimate only and is not a guaranteed dispatch or delivery timeframe.
Handmade bracelets, malas, and other handmade or individually prepared products may also require additional processing time for making, assembling, sizing, restringing, finishing, or other preparation before they are ready to dispatch.
Website availability or an “In Stock” status may include inventory available through our supplier or distributor network and does not necessarily mean the item is physically on hand at our Barrie store or ready for immediate dispatch.
Supplier inventory and lead times can change without notice. Products may occasionally become temporarily unavailable, backordered, allocated, delayed, discontinued, reprinted, revised, repackaged, or otherwise affected by supplier-side changes.
During holidays, promotional periods, high-volume sales events, supplier delays, or other periods of increased demand, sourcing, handmade preparation, order processing, and dispatch may take longer than the usual estimates.
Carrier transit time is additional and begins only after your order has been dispatched. Carrier delivery estimates are also not guaranteed by Zen Collection.
If your purchase is a gift, needed for a specific date, or otherwise time-sensitive, please contact Zen Collection before placing your order. We strongly recommend ordering well in advance rather than waiting until the last minute.
Zen Collection cannot guarantee arrival by a specific date and does not accept rush-order requests or guarantee priority sourcing, making, preparation, or processing.
