To use your Rose Statice and Sage Stick, begin by choosing a calm moment when you won't be interrupted. Open a window or door to allow fresh air to circulate and give the released energy somewhere to go — good ventilation makes a meaningful difference. Hold the tip of the bundle at a slight angle and light it with a candle or lighter, allowing it to catch for several seconds before gently blowing out the flame. You should see a steady, glowing ember and a soft trail of smoke rising from the tip. Place your bundle in a heat-safe dish or abalone shell whenever you set it down, and never leave it burning unattended. Keep it well away from children, pets, curtains, paper, and anything else that could catch a spark.
Once your bundle is lit, carry it slowly through the room or space you'd like to refresh, guiding the smoke into corners, along walls, and around doorways. You can use your hand or a feather to gently direct the smoke as you move through the space. Hold the intention of releasing what no longer serves you and welcoming in warmth, compassion, and emotional balance. When you're finished, press the glowing tip firmly into sand, dry soil, or the bottom of a fireproof dish to fully extinguish it — do not use water, as this can damage the bundle for future use. Always confirm the ember is completely out before storing or walking away.
