Hold the tip of the torch over a flame for several seconds until it catches and begins to glow, then gently blow out the flame so the bundle smolders and produces a steady stream of smoke. Move slowly and deliberately through your space, guiding the smoke along walls, into corners, around doorways, and near windows — these are the areas where stagnant or heavy energy tends to collect. Always keep the torch over your heat-safe dish as you move, and never leave a lit torch unattended. Keep it well away from children, pets, curtains, paper, and anything else that could catch fire.

Before you light the torch, take a moment to set a clear intention for your session. This might be as simple as silently stating what you want to release or what kind of energy you want to invite into your space. As you move through each room, focus on that intention rather than rushing through the process — a slower, more mindful pace tends to make the experience feel more grounded and purposeful.
