Always burn your bundle over a heat-resistant, fire-safe dish or abalone shell to catch any falling ash and protect your surfaces. Work in a well-ventilated room by cracking a window or opening a door — good airflow keeps the smoke moving through your space rather than building up. Never leave a burning bundle unattended, and keep it well away from children, pets, and any flammable materials. When you are finished, press the lit tip firmly into a fireproof dish or a bowl of sand to extinguish it fully, and allow it to cool completely before storing or handling.
To use mugwort intentionally, begin by taking a few slow breaths and deciding what you want to shift or release — whether that is stress, heavy feelings, mental fog, or stagnant energy that has been lingering in your home.
